Bob and Dan take first in Week 8
Bob Bowers & Dan Klavoon recorded a first place finish with a record of 12-4. It was their first time paired up this season, but it was also the second first place finish for both players. They also led the week in Week 8 with 7 overtime games played. This also marked Dan's second week in a row with a first place finish, inching closer to his brother Eric in the overall standings.
In a crazy series, Bob & Dan spoiled Josh Greenauer & Dana Misenheimer's chance at a perfect game in the first game of the series by forcing overtime. The second game of the series was nearly perfect, before Bob & Dan won in triple overtime.
The second and third place teams of Bob Greenauer & Eric Klavoon (11-5) and Scott Silverman & Adam Williams (10-6) got paired up with their respective partners for the second time this season. Bob & Eric led the league with 4 perfect games, including three in a row, and at one point, 24 consecutive buckets. Other perfect games were tossed by Scott & Adam (1), Josh & Dana (1), and Tim Klavoon & LeeAnn Greenauer (1).
Andy Evans made his return to league, getting paired up with Phil Schneider. Andy tossed the only instant win of the night, which was an over-the-top shot in a game against Scott & Adam.
The longest game of the night was won by Tim & LeeAnn, beating Bob & Eric in five overtime rounds. Tim & LeeAnn tossed all buckets in overtime to win the game.
With Week 8 in the books, everyone's "Drop Week" has been calculated into the overall standings. While all other stats remain, players can drop their worst week (points). With the Drop Week included, this gives players a clear picture in the final race with just three weeks remaining. Eric holds just a 7 point lead over Dan for first place overall. Bob G, Adam, Josh, and Phil remain in 2nd through 6th, while Bob Bowers moves from 12th up to 7th. Dana and LeeAnn are tied for 9th, both with 79 points and the same record of 55-73.
